Dr. Deborah Frank, principal investigator of Children's HealthWatch and the director of Boston Medical Center's Grow Clinic,was featured on the front page of the Boston Globe and spoke to WBUR, Boston's NPR station, about the increases in the number of children experiencing food insecurity in Boston over the past three years.

WIC cut would deprive thousands of Pennsylvania's babies of vital nutrition

WIC provides nutrition-rich foods, infant formula, and nutritional counseling for pregnant women, mothers, and children up to five years of age.  A cut to the program recently approved by the U.S. House Appropriations Committee would turn away between 200,000 and 350,000 program participants nationwide next year.  As many as 10,000 Pennsylvania recipients could be affected.
