The Witnesses to Hunger exhibit will be on display at the Vineyard Haven Public Library from August 9 through the end of August. On August 10 at 7 pm, there will be a free evening program at the library--click here to see the event flier.
Information about the August 10 program:
Who: Witness Imani Sullivan of Philadelphia, along with Witness Charlene Mitchell of Providence, RI, will be in attendance to discuss their photos and share their experiences and ideas. Dr. Mariana Chilton, Witnesses to Hunger Creator and Director, will speak about the state of hunger and poverty in the United States and on Martha's Vineyard.
What: A presentation and discussion about Witnesses to Hunger and the experience of hunger and poverty in America. The exhibit will feature photographs of the Philadelphia and Rhode Island participants in Witnesses to Hunger, as well as photos of an anonymous Witnesses participant who is a resident of Martha's Vineyard.
When: August 10, 7-9 pm. Free and open to the public.
