The Witnesses to Hunger exhibit opened at University of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, April 7th and will be continuing until April 29th, 2010.
The event featured an introduction by Dr. Afaf I. Meleis, Dean of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, followed by remarks from Dr. Mariana Chilton, and testimonies from two of the witnesses Angela S. and Shearine M. about their experiences in using photography for social change. The floor was then opened up for a vibrant Q&A session, and afterwards attendees had time to browse through the Witnesses to Hunger photo exhibit.
